Alzheimer’s Care & Awareness

By Greg Kling 10  pm On

World Alzheimer’s Day happens every year in September (9/21/20 this year), a time to spread awareness about Alzheimer’s and other dementias. It’s also an important time to share important information about what we’re constantly learning about dementia care.

Assisting Hands Home Care serving Columbus, OH places great importance on dementia care. We have two certified Positive Approach to Care trainers on staff, who train our caregivers on dementia care educator Teepa Snow’s innovative techniques.

We’re also proud to be a supporter of our local Alzheimer’s Association, which has an annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s in communities around the country. The Central Ohio chapter’s “virtual” walk is coming up on September 27th, just click here to join!

If you want to learn more about Alzheimer’s and dementia, take a few minutes to watch this Teepa Snow video to understand the brain changes that take place in those living with these diseases. And if you are need help with a loved one living with dementia, give Assisting Hands Home Care serving Columbus, OH and we’ll be glad to assess your needs.
