Greg Kling

Greg Kling
Owner & President

Greg founded Assisting Hands with his wife, Kim, in 2013 after over two decades of business experience primarily in the consulting field. After receiving his MBA from The Ohio State University, Greg spent the bulk of his career as a partner at Deloitte where he helped multinational companies improve their business processes.

After working in large corporations for many years, he decided he wanted a change. He and Kim wanted to spend their days improving the lives of others. That is when they remembered their experience finding home care for Kim’s mom, and how the caregivers they hired improved their family’s quality of life. Greg said he realized, “Being able to give that gift to someone else would be a wonderful way to spend a career.”

Nearly twelve years later, Assisting Hands has grown into a thriving business with over two hundred employees that have cared for thousands of clients in Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and Columbus. Greg continues to find fulfillment in working every day towards improving the lives of more people through home care. He also finds fulfillment in growing and developing his team members to help them achieve more than they thought possible. He finds it to be a tremendous responsibility and honor to make an impact in the lives of hundreds of people every day.

When not in the office Greg enjoys bicycling through the back roads of Cincinnati, spending time with his three children, and practicing the flute.

Kim Kling

Kim Kling
Owner

Kim’s personal experience finding home care for her mom led her to found Assisting Hands with her husband, Greg, in 2013. When Kim’s mom, Aggie, was diagnosed with lung cancer, Kim found navigating the healthcare system while caring for three young children and working full time overwhelming. The caregivers that came in to help care for Aggie relieved a lot of this stress. When asked about the caregivers that helped her, Kim said, “They did the things that a daughter shouldn’t do for her mom. They bathed her and dressed her and gave me the ability to be a daughter again.” While Aggie did not survive her cancer diagnosis, home care made it possible for her to fully enjoy her final months with her family.

With this background it’s no surprise that Kim has always been passionate about finding the best caregivers for our clients. When she first founded the company, she received her certification as a State Tested Nurse Aid to become Assisting Hand’s very first caregiver. While Kim no longer provides care to clients directly, she continues to bring this mindset as a member of the leadership team, ensuring we lead with a client-centered approach.

When not helping run Assisting Hands, you can find Kim on the back of Greg’s motorcycle. Since becoming empty nesters Kim and Greg have joined a motorcycling group and regularly attend the famous annual biking event Sturgis.
